✨ August Wrap ✨ Well here we are. End of another month, still in lockdown and it seems like I’m not the only one that has lockdown fatigue. As it turns out… 200 days is about my limit. There’s been not a lot of reading happening, and actually it was probably made harder by the fact a lot of these were just okay. Nothing spectacular, nothing too horrible. I don’t even at this point have the capacity for audiobooks, and most of these took me weeks to read. So if you’re in the same boat I feel you. This time is rough, take care of yourselves friends. I’m breaking them into categories as to how it felt 🔮 Let me read this again for the first time PLEASE - One Last Stop ~ Casey McQuiston - Earthlings ~ Sayaka Murata - Tokyo Ueno Station ~ Yu Miri 🔮 Wish I had the brain power to understand fully - Winter ~ Ali Smith - Hood Feminism ~ Mikki Kendall 🔮 I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t read them actually but glad I have - The rest 🤦🏼‍♀️ I definitely didn’t read as much for #WomenInTranslationMonth as I wanted to. But it just means I have a big pile for whenever I get to them! I’m switching up my mindset for September, no more mediocre reads. Only things that grab me in the first 100 pages. [ID: Stack of books from the top down; the coven, winter, hood feminism, Tokyo Ueno station, verity, earthlings, one last stop, waking gods, sleeping giants, one hundred days, there’s no such thing as an easy job, after story, and sunset]
