✨Review✨The Way She Feels ~ Courtney Cook I’m posting this photo because I like it but I can’t put my thoughts together for a real review. I don’t think I would recommend it to a person who is currently struggling with BPD. I also wonder if my feelings towards it are altered because I read it after my psychologist told me she doesn’t think I actually have BPD. We know I love a memoir, I love a BPD memoir even more. Because you hear other people’s struggles, other people’s recovery, the relapse, and again the subsequent climb back up. This didn’t have that, it’s ✨relatable✨ don’t get me wrong. But I don’t necessarily think relatable is always good. It is very pretty and so nicely drawn though, the art is incredible. Some of her insights are incredible. But I also think maybe this is a case of me being thrown for a loop with a stupid diagnostic label and when I find a psychiatrist in Melbourne to actually assess me let’s return to this conversation. Currently looking for a unicorn 🦄 😭 CW: self harm, suicide, hospitalisation [ID: the way she feels sitting on a pink blanket, and a ginger cat butt in the top left corner]
