🎨 Book review 🎨 The Silent Patient @alex .michaelides ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was definitely a #bookstagrammademedoit book and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read. Loved doing a buddy read of this with @bookmarkedbycynthia My expectations were high… And they were kind of met. What I loved: 🎨 The narrator and writing 🎨San Diego mention (hi Barbie) 🎨 The juxtaposition/similarities between the main characters 🎨 Unique and well-developed characters. 🎨 That twist and ending! Chef’s kiss, it was amazing. What I didn’t like: 🎨 Therapy plot a little cheesy and unbelievable at times. 🎨 Some of the characters actions were cheesy and too far-fetched. 🎨 Felt a little slow at times. Overall, the twist/ending is what bumped this up to 4 stars for me. I was suspicious of everyone but the twist still caught me by surprise. “The habit fell away from me quite naturally, like dry caked mud from a boot.” If you’ve read this, what did you think?
