I’ve been a little mia this weekend on Bookstagram but that’s bc I spent the weekend in Austin with my bestie @badgalmomo ___ at @crimecon If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a true crime convention with speakers from high profile cases, documentaries/docuseries, and podcasts. If you love true crime, I can’t recommend it enough! My first one was in New Orleans and I was hooked. Some highlights from this weekend include: -Brendan Dassey’s attorney (Making a Murderer) -Susan Cox Powell case discussion with @anne _bremner @drphil (who was so hilarious and smart) discussing the psychology of evil -Nancy Grace -Chris Hansen (To Catch a Predator) I also picked up this book from the merch store! I’ve seen the Netflix series but I’m excited to dive into the book. Question: What true crime case is capturing your attention currently?
