✨Review✨Mythos ~ Stephen Fry CW: incest, rape, murder Not going to lie, I picked this to read as an audiobook because my anxiety has been out of control and there’s nothing more soothing than the tones of @stephenfryactually , I don’t think I would’ve read it otherwise. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN !!! I loved it. So much so that I’ve already started listening to Heroes, I’m trying to find Troy as an audio, and I’m going to read Song of Achilles this month which has been sitting on my shelf for a while. I’m also on the hunt for anything mythology relate so please throw some recommendations at me! I used to read about mythology (Greek, Roman, Egyptian) when I was little, because I was/am a massive history nerd, but it’s been a while so I didn’t have any idea what to expect. Some of the gods I obviously knew by name but had no idea of what they represented and it was fascinating to learn and recognise everyday things that they explain. Arachne was probably the most interesting for me! I hate spiders but maybe it make them a little less intimidating thinking about them as a girl just trying to prove her spinning skillz. Anyway, I do recommend this. There are a tonne of characters/gods/mortals but I stopped trying to remember them all and it was still thoroughly enjoying.
