What are some things you love in books, but actually would not like in real life? Top of my list is always the Fae. Whenever Fae enter a story I’m always like “YUSSSS”… but for real, you’d never catch me anywhere near them. Second is probably revenge plots. I LIVE for a revenge plot. I hate when characters take the high road after they’ve been seriously wronged. haha. In real life, I’d rather let Karma do her thing. Today I’m featuring the paperback special edition of “The Iron Daughter” (book #2 in the Iron Fey series) that was gifted to me by @inkyardpress . The special edition covers for this series are gorgeous. So far the first two special editions have had bonus material that includes excerpts of the new Iron Fey book, “The Iron Raven” which comes out in February next year. I have loved the Julie Kagawa books I’ve read so far, but I haven’t read this series yet. (I’m late to the party since book 1, The Iron King, came out in 2010. But I’m down for Fey stories and I really like Julie Kagawa’s style, so I’m ready for these. Do you have a favorite special book edition? Synopsis: Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner of the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron Fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her. Worse, Meghan’s own fey powers have been cut off. She’s stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can’t help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart. #theirondaughter #theironking #theironqueen #theironknight #ironfey #juliekagawa #specialedition
