Heyyyyyyyyyyyy Henny, Happy Saturday or whateva! Saw this little cute challenge going around town so you know I had to participate. I love a good challenge! This one is called #midyearfreakout and gurl I had so much fun looking back at the books that I’ve already read this year. I definitely had a few debates with myself about which books I thought were perfect for some of these categories. But! I’m pretty confident and proud of this stack right here. - The best novel you’ve read so far: Sula by Toni Morrison - Best nonfiction book you’ve read so far: The Undocumented Americans by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio - Your most anticipated upcoming release of 2020: Luster by Raven Leilani and Bestiary by K-Ming Chang - Biggest disappointment: Edinburgh by Alexander Chee - Biggest surprise: Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh - A book that made you cry: Another Country by James Baldwin - A book that made you smile: Pizza Girl by Jean Kyoung Frazier - The most beautiful book you acquired this year: Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo - Book you want to read by the end of the year: A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James Well, that’s it from me today! I had some much curating this stack for the gram and I highly recommend doing it. Do you see any favorites here? Let’s talk
