Heyyyyyyyyy Henny, June is behind us which means that July is here for a fresh start. Even though I couldn’t celebrate Pride the way I wanted to this year, I at least had the opportunity to read these books. I’ve finished a total of seven books this month and I don’t regret reading not one of them. I always say that June is my favorite reading month and this time around I wasn’t disappointed. The best book I read this month has to be Another Country by James Baldwin because of that writing. Baldwin really knows how to write some characters that are fully fleshed out. He never disappoints. Coming close for spot number two, A Burning took the silver. This one knocked me the fuck out, a true literary masterpiece. Finally for that third spot, Memorial takes it with that incredible story that is worth every page. Bryan Washington is a force to be reckoned with and his debut novel is one that 100 percent recommend pre-ordering. Other than that, July is here and I’m reading to dive into some new literature Periodttttttt. How was June for you?
