What book did you read in 2018 that you recommend to everyone. . I finished my Goodreads Reading Challenge at 1 a.m. by closing off my 2018 with “The Glass Magician” by Charlie Holmberg. I’m five reviews behind, but I’ll post them in the coming days. . I spent last night going through all the books that I read in 2018 to figure out what my Top 10 would be, and it’s always hard because I over think it. So this year, I went by the books that I recommended the most when people asked me what to read. There were so many books that I enjoyed very much, but after some thought I realized that these were the ones that I gifted/recommended ALL THE TIME. . ❤️"The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge" for an excellent message and fantastic mixed media format. . ❤️"Spinning Silver" and "Reign the Earth” for being magical and portraying some of the fiercest females I’ve read this year. . ❤️“Dry” for being one of the most thought provoking reads I’ve read that has actually made me make real life changes. . ❤️“Stay Sweet” a great YA coming of age that satisfied my foodie and historical fiction loving heart. I’ve handed this out to so many graduating high school seniors this year. . ❤️“Muse of Nightmares” and “Spinning Silver” are my Top 2 favorite books of this year. Magical and amazing by two incredibly talented authors. . ❤️“The Dark Descendent of Elizabeth Frankenstein” surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to become obsessed with it, but I did. Dark and twisted, but so good!! . ❤️“The Girl in the Tower”, “Furyborn”, and “The Astonishing Color of After” were three different kinds of magical journeys, but are wonderfully crafted and unforgettable stories to me. Not to mention that “The Astonishing Color of After” as being mega relatable to me as a half-Asian, half-American. . I hope that this year you’ve passed by my account and found some good books to read!  Thank you all so much for stopping by here and the amazing friendships and conversations about books that I’ve had. This year I found so many great books through your recommendations and am forever grateful for this space that brings book lovers together! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
