Do you have a food/food pairing or local traditions that you always through were normal, only to discover that it’s just a local thing? Or a favorite food you get only in certain places? I recently read that people in Kansas eat cinnamon rolls with their chili! . I was recently gifted Reese Witherspoon’s cook/party planning book “Whiskey in a Teacup" full of Southern traditions and recipes from @touchstonebooks . I have always loved the idea of regional food or specialties. Or just the idea of “getting it done right” when you visit the home state of that food/tradition. When I lived in Philly, I loved the Pat’s vs Geno’s cheesesteak rivalry, and whenever I visit my family in North Carolina, I love hearing people talk about the difference between North Carolina and South Carolina BBQ sauces! Anyway, I love flipping through this pretty cookbook and reading about all the classic southern comfort foods and checking out the recipes included, as well as table setting tips, party menu planning, and even a few beauty tips. I showed my parents this cookbook and her chili recipe inspired my dad to make a change to his! So that was a fun family discussion.! . Mostly I just want cornbread now. . Do you have any food rivalries where you live? . #whiskeyinateacup #reesewitherspoon
