I’m so excited about the book releases today! My review for “The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik” is a little delayed because of my surprise trip last weekend, but I figured today was still a good day to post my unboxing of the April @ParnassusNext box because they just announced that “Furyborn” will be in their June box! So Happy Book Birthday to “Furyborn” and if you want a signed first edition, Parnassus has your back. . NOW it’s time to talk about the actual book in the picture. haha. This was my first time reading a book by Kelly Loy Gilbert and her writing is absolutely beautiful and meaningful. I’d like to mirror the words of @diamondxgirl when she said that this read is so human. Following Danny on his journey involves juggling a lot of different topics and issues and since it’s really focused on Danny’s experience, depending on how you like your novels, it’s going to feel a little slow some times. But, if I may recommend, please stick it through. I don’t want to get too deeply into it here because of spoilers, but I’m definitely picking up Kelly’s other book now. . I have loved being a rep for @parnassusnext because of the variety of books they include in their box, and they have yet to pick one that I honestly didn’t love. Parnassus is a YA “book only” subscription box. Each first edition book is signed by the author in the Parnassus book store and mailed out to subscribers. One of my favorite parts is that Parnassus announces which books will be in their box a couple weeks before shipping so you never miss the books you want. And, like I said, a signed first edition of “Furyborn” in June!! . Have you read “Picture Us In The Light”? What was the last book you read that broke your heart? . #pictureusinthelight #kellyloygilbert #unboxing #subscriptionbox #bookflatlay
