I saw this quote on Buzzfeed the other day and I was like “Yeeeeeep” that’s going on the letterboard. 😂 It’s actually not common for me to have huge emotional reactions to what I’m reading. I’m often moved by books, and there are a handful that have made me teary eyed... but true tears running down my face? In “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah I kept imagining myself giving up my child and then never knowing if my child survived, was loved, was cared for... this book wrecked me for days. Tears streaming down my face for days... (can’t wait to read her upcoming book “The Great Alone”) “The Serpent King” surprised me. I was reading along and very into the story when 💥 out of nowhere there was a scene (built up throughout the story) that left me really crying. I still remember being up at 1 am, sitting on the floor next to a space heater and crying into a pillow. Hahah. (Will be bringing my tissues to the theater when the film releases!) . And of course, of course Clockwork Princess. Will and Jem’s friendship and parabatai bond required lots of tissues from me. That being said, I recommend all of these books. Read them. 😂😂😂 There are lots of notable books that have broken my heart, but these three pulled out the real waterworks from me. What are some books that destroyed you (doesn’t have to be a book that made you cry) and you love recommending?
