“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies, were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of star stuff.” -Carl Sagan . Some how instead of looking like a futuristic sci-fi photo, I managed to make this look like Illuminae and Gemina have traveled back to the 1800s. . Whatever. Time travel is sci-fi-ish, right? . Gemina is one of my Top Five anticipated releases of 2016, and I can’t wait to start this one. Gemina is the second book in the Illuminae Files series, and I can’t recommend this one enough. (also, who has listened to this on audio? Because it’s NUTS, right?😱😍) . Not only is the story awesome, gripping, and disturbing—the format these are printed in makes the read doubly powerful and cinematic. . @ursula _uriarte and I stood in a veeeeery long line at BEA hoping to get our hands on copies of Gemina. (seriously, it had it’s own zip code) We barely made it to the front of the line for the book drop before they ran out. (I think there were only five left once we got up front.) So not only did snagging this copy make my day, I have really fun memories attached to it. . What’s your favorite sci-fi? . ‼️Planet and Moon lockets by @eejewellery
