Anyone else ever wake up around 2 a.m. with their face smashed into a book and their reading lamp still on? (This goes under the same category as dropping a book on your face/chest or running into something while reading and walking…) I’ve started getting better at cutting myself off when I feel myself getting tired, but in the past I’ve just told myself to quit being weak and power through the last chapter 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. . I think it’s pretty safe to say that if you’re visiting my account, you’re prooooobably someone who reads before going to bed every night. But now we can say we are doing it because SCIENCE! For the month of March (National Sleep Awareness Month) @penguinrandomhouse has issued the #readtosleep challenge! Skip the screens before bed and hit the books. It’s been proven that reading a book or listening to an audiobook before bed will help you fall asleep faster and get better quality sleep. (I think this works out better if you give yourself a bed time and don’t wake up smashed into a book though) . I’ll put a swipe up in my stories today where you can read more about the benefits of reading before bed (Reducing stress, boosting mood, sharpen your brain etc) and where you can enter to win a new bedding set and 25 books! . What book are you reading to sleep tonight? . #outlander #onthebed #dianagabaldon #jamiefraser #clairefraser #droughtlander #outlanderseries #outlanderfandom #mybed #hyggelifestyle #cozymoments
