What’s your favorite kind of music? Do you have a favorite band/singer/composer? I love most music. I think maybe the Beastie Boys, AFI, John Mayer, Green Day and the Lumineers are my most listened to bands. But most of the time I usually listen to instrumental film soundtracks or piano compilations while I’m working. (Pro-tip: listen to the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack to make anything you’re doing feel epic) . Happy Book Birthday to “Kingdom of Back” by Marie Lu. (Thank you to @penguinteen for gifting me this copy) If it’s by Marie Lu, then you can bet I’m reading it. Admittedly I wasn’t a fan of “Warcross”, but I love the Legend series and I love the Young Elites very much, and I’ll pick up whatever Marie Lu is offering. BUT give me Marie Lu AND HISTORICAL FICTION? GUYS!!!! I love that every time she comes to us with something new, it’s so different than the last thing. “Kingdom of Back” is all about the Mozart siblings and I’m here for it. With so many awesome releases this month, my March TBR built itself. 😍. . Synopsis: Two siblings. Two brilliant talents. But only one Mozart. Born with a gift for music, Nannerl Mozart has just one wish—to be remembered forever. But even as she delights audiences with her masterful playing, she has little hope she'll ever become the acclaimed composer she longs to be. She is a young woman in 18th century Europe, and that means composing is forbidden to her. She will perform only until she reaches a marriageable age—her tyrannical father has made that much clear. And as Nannerl's hope grows dimmer with each passing year, the talents of her beloved younger brother, Wolfgang, only seem to shine brighter. His brilliance begins to eclipse her own, until one day a mysterious stranger from a magical land appears with an irresistible offer. He has the power to make her wish come true—but his help may cost her everything. In her first work of historical fiction, #1  New York Times bestselling author Marie Lu spins a lush, lyrically-told story of music, magic, and the unbreakable bond between a brother and sister. . #PenguinTeenPartner #TheKingdomofBack #marielu #newrelease #historicalfiction
