Would you rather: be able to touch a book and instantly

Would you rather: be able to touch a book and instantly know the entire story, but lose the ability to read it. OR just keep your ability to read a book the usual way. . I am TORN on this because there are so many books that I want to read and feel like I’ll never get to them just because of the amount of time it takes to read a book. But I also just love sitting with a book and being lost in the story for hours or being able to highlight paragraphs and sentences I love. . I was kindly gifted this stunner of a book from @penguinclassics . This book covers 500 authors spanning 4,000 years of literary history, and 1,200 books comprised of 500,000 pages of text. “That means that if you found time to read 50 pages a day, every day of the week, it would take you 27 years to read them all, by which time the list would most likely have expanded further still.” IF THAT AINT #BOOKNERDPROBLEMS SUMMED UP. . While this book is a fun guide for each of these 500 authors and their books, it’s also an ode to the “classic” books of literature and I’ve really enjoyed flipping through it. Especially since there are so many books in here I’ve never seen before. Makes me want to go the “touch a book and have instantly read it” route… . #penguinclassics #penguinrandomhouse #bookcollector #classicbooks #bookishlife #bookpics #bookobsessed #bookaddicts
