Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy Hennys, gurl yesterday I mentioned that I was in a deep reading slump. TBH I saw it a mile away and I felt it coming because I was reading some heavy ass books that dealt with some heavy ass topics. In order for me to continue reading and stop watching movies and being lazy, I had to look for something easy and breezy to take me out of this slump. So I went into my bookshelf looking for something popping and thrilling. If you didn’t know I used to be obsessed with thrillers last year, I used to read them all the time until I made the decision to change my reading style at the beginning of the year. I promised myself that I would read more books by POC and more books written by women and so far I have been doing a great job. I haven’t touched a white man’s thriller since January and I’m so proud of myself, not to say that I don’t like thrillers but they are ummmm very vanilla lol 😂. But here I am today reaching for Recursion which has been all over the bookstagram lately so it could take me out of this slump. I’m so far enjoying this book a lot, it’s definitely a page-turner! I think I can finish this book today and I will probably look for another thriller so I can stay off this slump that is still lurking inside of me. Overall, I hope everyone has a beautiful Friday and weekend! What has been your favorite thriller/s this year so far? ❤️
