Do you love a good prophecy story? Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Dark is Rising, Game of Thrones— I love seeing how prophecies play out and how it influences those involved. With a title like “There Will Come a Darkness” (I mean, how much more prophetic can you get?) the prophecy lover in me was very excited for this one. . Today I’m on the @fiercereads blog tour and wanted my picture to celebrate the character Hassan— a scholar and prince. The boy who loves to read and study, but is also a prince to a country that is falling to the Heirophant, an enemy that would see anyone will abilities of Grace wiped out. (The Graced are those with supernatural-like abilities). This book jumps between five points of view, and it did take me a minute to get the rhythm of it just because it is a few different perspectives to juggle at first. But I loved seeing them come together and how they connect. I picked Hassan for today because I felt like I related to him the most just in the way he thought. . Thought it might be fun for people to try and make their own prophecy if they wanted today by using predictive text. Type: The Age of Darkness approaches… and see what you get! . Synopsis: For generations, the Seven Prophets guided humanity. Using their visions of the future, they ended wars and united nations―until the day, one hundred years ago, when the Prophets disappeared. All they left behind was one final, secret prophecy, foretelling an Age of Darkness and the birth of a new Prophet who could be the world’s salvation . . . or the cause of its destruction. As chaos takes hold, five souls are set on a collision course: A prince exiled from his kingdom. A ruthless killer known as the Pale Hand. A once-faithful leader torn between his duty and his heart. A reckless gambler with the power to find anything or anyone. And a dying girl on the verge of giving up. One of them―or all of them―could break the world. Will they be savior or destroyer? . #therewillcomeadarkness #katyrosepool
