If you had to choose between living without electricity or plumbing in your home, which would you choose to keep? Plumbing for me by a landslide. 😂 . ☕️ Every time I read a Western, this is one of the first questions I ask myself 😂 I have had Téa Obreht’s “The Tiger’s Wife”on my TBR since I discovered it earlier this year and I finally picked up a copy this past week. The very next day I received “Inland” from @randomhouse in the mail ( #gifted ) and felt like it was all meant to be. . ☕️ “Inland” is set in the Arizona Territory of 1893 with Nora, the unflinching frontierswoman, waiting for the men in her life to return. (her husband from looking for water and her oldest sons, who disappeared after a fight.) Her youngest son, still at home, is convinced a mysterious beast is staking their home. . ☕️ Lurie is an outlaw and man haunted by ghosts. He sees lost souls who want something from him he finds reprieve from them by an unexpected relationship that brings him on an expedition West. The way Lurie and Nora’s stories intertwine is the surprise and suspense of “Inland”. This story is also grounded on a true and little known story of myth and magic in the American west! . ☕️ Even though I’m a hardcore Little House on the Prairie fan, I didn’t ever really consider myself a Western/frontier book lover until I read “These is my Words” and then “Vengeance Road”. Now it’s a genre I really love and am looking forward to this one! Happy Sunday and Happy Reading! . ☕️ #inland #thetigerswife #teaobreht #onthebed #cozysunday #cozyvibes #aquietmoment #livemoremagic #ofsimplethings #whywhiteworks #bibliophile #bookstagram #hyggestyle #slowlivingforlife #onthebed #readingcorner #booknerdigans #whattoread #bookpost #readingaddict #bookstagram
