Would you want to be the protagonist in the book you’re reading right now? ( #sponsored @barnesandnoble @readnook ) I’m currently reading “The Book of Longing” by Sue Monk Kidd and I like the bravery and ferocity of the main character so far… BUT I’m not sure I’d love to live as a woman in ancient times. So I think I’ll pass. haha. . One lesson I’ve learned from reading is that I am the protagonist of my own story. I don’t know why this outlook has been the thing to help me through my hardest times, but all the heroes and heroines of my books are always giving me strength when times are rough. (I remember how frustrated I get when the hero of a book is being dumb and it helps me shape up. haha.) We get so much from books and I love that a good book can help me feel inspired, refreshed, or provide a much needed escape— especially during turbulent times like the ones we are in now. . Even though we are staying inside to help keep our world safe, we can still support authors and books we love! Orders on the Barnes and Noble website can be placed 24/7 for delivery to your doorstep or to your NOOK reading tablet. My favorite thing about shopping Barnes and Noble is the exclusive editions with exclusive content (and some times exclusive covers!) My most recent purchases have been the BN exclusive editions of A Conjuring of Light, The World That We Knew, and these editions of The Folk of the Air trilogy! You can check out the link in my bio for more of what’s available now! . 📚 #mybn
