Ever since I got this @hearthandhammer candle I have been wanting to take a picture like this, especially since I have been thinking about “Fahrenheit 451” for awhile now. . (don’t let it put you off on the “Burning Books” candle though, because it smells like Christmas in a bottle. I’ve been burning it on and off for the last couple days to get me excited for the upcoming holidays. So so good.) . It’s hard to imagine that our society is reading less while on Bookstagram. We’re a large community. Every one of us loves the written word, the smell of book pages, the look of shelves stuff with books. And even though newspapers and book stores are dying out, people are still reading via electronic devices. Do you think that a future like in this book would ever be possible in real life? That movies and photographs would take the place of the literary culture? (if yes, then let’s all plan on forming our own secret colony and combining our books into an awesome library.) . And, on a related note, if you knew all the books in the world were going to be destroyed, which book would you memorize word for word in order to make sure the story carried on to the next generation? It’s a hard choice, but I think I might choose Anne of Green Gables. I don’t know. I’m still deciding.
