“Winter” arrived on my doorstep yesterday afternoon! This is one of my top anticipated releases for this year and it’s finally in my possession! I probably won’t be able to get to this until December though. I’ve got some mandatory reading plus Classics to do this month, but I’m dying to know how Marissa Meyer ends the Lunar Chronicles! (DON’T SPOIL IT FOR ME!) . I was surprised at how emotional and sad I was at the end of “Cress” after all that had happened. I’m hoping for some real closure and can’t wait to see how they deal with Levana! When I met Marissa Meyer in February at her “Fairest" launch party I hadn’t even read the books yet. But not reading them didn’t mean I wasn’t going to her signing. ha. They had been on my TBR for a long time, and I knew I’d regret not going to her signing if I ended up loving them. haha. So I showed up with no books for her to sign but the copy of “Fairest” I purchased to enter the event. A month ago I emailed Meyer via her website asking for book plates for the rest of the series. She was so kind and sent me the signed plates, plus some bookmarks. Now my collection is complete and all signed. These books are among my top favorite fairy tale retellings, and I found the way she wove details from the original tales into her new stories very clever. Have you read these? Which book is your favorite so far? If you haven’t read them, out of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White, which is your favorite fairytale?
