HAPPY FRIDAY! Nothing like a Percy post to kick off the weekend, right? As some of you already know, I entered the Percy Jackson fandom this year and I’m still in the honeymoon stage, so yes, I wear this “Lightening Thief” book cover locket from @_craftingcall regularly. (adorable, detailed packaging aside, I just love the feeling of wearing a little book I love close to my heart. Cue, “In a Sentimental Mood”) (Crafting Call is part of a big giveaway hosted by several bookish shops right now, and you can find details on how to win a locket on their page.) . ANYWAY. I’m super pumped that Rick Riordan is writing another demi-god series where Percy will appear. Hopefully he appears in the series more often than not. On Black Friday I found “The Sea of Monsters” movie on sale for $2 and couldn’t leave it behind, even though “The Lightening Thief” movie was terrible. But as a fan, I feel obligated to own and watch it. So that’s what I’m doing this weekend. ha. It is a big regret of mine that those movies flopped. They had Harry Potter potential. Oh well. Thank goodness they stopped making them. What’s your favorite book-to-movie? (BESIDES HARRY POTTER) Or book-to-TV series? Some of my favorites are: Little Women, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Fault in our Stars, The Hunger Games, The Princess Bride, Jumanji, Narnia, LOTR, The Hobbit.
